Install Lightning for Outlook in Office 365 Admin Center

 This guide will walk you through how to set up Lightning for Outlook for all users in your Office 365 Admin Center. And while in Outlook, you can view and relate relevant Salesforce content on the emails, such as contacts, accounts, and more.


Install Lightning for Outlook Manage Add In from your Office 365 Admin Center

Before you can experience Lightning for Outlook, you have to install the Lightning for Outlook add in from the Office store. Microsoft Exchange administrator for Office 365 can install the add in for the entire company or individual users can install the add in on a one-to-one basis. We recommend that the Microsoft Exchange administrator for Office 365 install the Lightning for Outlook add in for the entire company.


Please Note: Your Microsoft Exchange administrator for Office 365 only needs to install the Lightning for Outlook add in from your company’s Microsoft Exchange Admin Center once. 


Permission Required: Microsoft Exchange administrator


From Office 365 Home Page: 

  • Click Admin icon. 

  • Click Admin Center.

  • Click Exchange.



In the Exchange Admin center:

  • Click Organization.

  • Click add-ins.

  • Click the + sign.

  • Click Add from the Office Store.



In the Office Store

  • Click Get it now under the Salesforce Lightning for Outlook option.

  • Log into Salesforce with your username and password.

  • Click Continue.

  • Click Yes.





Navigate back to the Exchange Admin center:

  • Click Organization.

  • Click add-ins.

  • Click into Salesforce.




In the Salesforce Add In:

  • Select Make this add-in available to users in your organization.

  • Select Mandatory, always enabled. Users can’t disable this add-in.

  • Click Save.


Please note: Installing the Lightning for Outlook Add In through your company’s Microsoft Exchange Admin Center will make the Add In available to all users in your Microsoft Exchange account and allow the users to simply login to Salesforce from their Lightning for Outlook. 



You have completed the steps to install Lightning for Outlook for all the users in your Microsoft Exchange account!
