Performance Report Visibility / Uploading a New Performance Benchmarking Report

The Performance Benchmarking Report comes out on a regular basis. Typically, the report gets emailed out to clients and shared in a newsletter. However, permitted clients can view current and past Performance Benchmarking Reports in the FundPanel LP Portal. The reports will need to be uploaded to the Benchmarking Org, where they will pull into the FundPanel Portal. 



Uploading a New Performance Report

  1. Navigate to the Performance Benchmarking Org and log in https://vc-performance-benchmarking.my.salesforce.com/ 

  2. In the App Menu, search for and select Report Documents

  3. From the Report Documents tab, select New

  4. This will open the New Report Document modal. Enter your Document Name and Document Date, then Save your changes

    1. Document Name will be the name of the document as it will appear in the Portal. Typically, the naming convention is Fund Performance Report FY yyyy or Fund Performance Report Qn yyyy

  5. Next, from your user icon in the top right corner, select it and Switch to Salesforce Classic

    1. Note: This next action must be done in Classic, as Lightning does not allow uploading files as Attachment type

      1. This is needed for retrieving the documents into the LP Portal

  6. Click the + icon on the right of the tabs, and find and select Report Documents

  7. Find and select the Report Document you just created

  8. From the Report Document Detail page, find the Notes & Attachments related list. Select Attach File

  9. From the Attach File to Report Document RD-nnnn wizard, Choose File to select your file to upload. Then, click Attach File. Then, click Done. You should now see your file as an Attachment Type in the Report Document Notes & Attachments list

  10. You can now switch back to Lightning Experience, as your Performance Benchmarking Report has been uploaded! It should now be visible in the FundPanel Portal to all users with access
