Sync Outlook Contacts with your Android Address Book

This guide will walk you through how to sync the contacts in your Outlook with your Android Address Book. Salesforce contacts can be synced to Outlook contact folder via Lightning Sync. These newly synced Salesforce Contacts in Outlook can then be synced to your Android Address Book. Afterward, incoming phone calls from a synced Salesforce contact will be recognized by the user's Android. The Android will present user with the Salesforce Contact’s Name, Company and Title on the incoming call.

Lightning Sync Contacts folder in Outlook

Once Lightning Sync is successfully set up between Salesforce and your Microsoft Exchange server then a “Salesforce_Sync” contact folder will automatically be created in your Contact tab in Outlook.

Please note: User’s contacts that are synced from Salesforce to Microsoft Exchange server will be located in the Salesforce_Sync contact folder. Contacts that are synced in the Salesforce_Sync folder can be synced to user’s Android Address Book. If a user edits an Outlook contact then the changes will reflect in the contacts from your Android Address Book and vise versa.

From your Outlook app:

  • Click into your Contacts tab.

  • Click Salesforce_Sync subfolder under Your contacts folder.

  • Make sure these contacts are your desired synced Salesforce contacts and are the intended contacts you want to sync to your Android Address Book.
