Now that your Salesforce contacts have synced to your Outlook contact folder, you will need to give access to the contacts in your Salesforce_Sync contact folder to your Outlook Address Book (this is only applicable for PC). Afterward, your users will be able to leverage the Outlook Address Book to lookup their synced Salesforce contacts in their Outlook application.
In the Outlook Application:
- Click the Contacts icon.
- Right Click 'Salesforce_Sync' contact folder.
- Click Properties.
- Click Outlook Address Book tab.
- Select Show this folder as an email Address Book.
- Click OK.
In the Outlook Application:
- Click Address Book icon.
- Click Tools tab.
- Click Options.
- Select Custom.
- Click Salesforce_Sync.
- Select Salesforce_Sync in the When opening the address book, show this address list first picklist.
- Click OK.
You have completed the required steps to access the contacts in your Salesforce_Sync contact folder from your Outlook Address Book!
