This guide will walk your Google administrator through how to set up your G Suite server to automatically route your outgoing emails to yourself. When you route your emails to yourself, the emails will match your Gmail Forwarding Rule and be forwarded to your unique Email to Salesforce Address. Emails that are forwarded to your unique Email to Salesforce Address will automatically be added to the activity history of the related records in Salesforce.

Configure G Suite Gmail Settings

Now that we have configured your Email to Salesforce settings in your Salesforce org, the next step is to configure your G Suite settings to be able to automatically route your outbound emails to yourself.

From your G Suite Admin Console:

  • Click here to be redirected to the Google Admin Console.

  • Click Apps.

  • Click G Suite.

  • Click into Gmail.

  • Click Advance Settings.

Add Email Routing

We will create an Email Route in your G Suite setting. Setting up an Email Route will allow an individual user to route their outgoing emails to themselves.

Please note: Your Google administrator will need to set up each users with their own Email Route.

  • Scroll down to the Routing section.

  • Click Configure next to the Routing section.

In the Route creation page:

Please Note: Each user must configure their own list of email addresses to exclude from their Email Route.
