TABLE OF CONTENTS

Step 1: Delete the Capital Commitment Records

The first step in deleting an investor or their related capital commitments is removing the records related to the capital commitment.

  1. Open up each capital commitment listed underneath the investment vehicles for the investor.
  2. Use the delete option and remove every capital call, distribution, capital account, and document related to the capital commitment.
  3. Once the records related to the capital commitment are deleted, delete the capital commitment record itself.

Step 2: Delete the Investor Records

Now that the records related to the investment vehicles have been removed, we can begin removing the investor record and any records directly related to it.

  1. Navigate to the investor and look for any related investment vehicles and contacts.
  2. Delete any investment vehicles and contacts related to the investor by using the delete option, using the same method used to delete records related to capital calls. (Please note that any contact roles that are associated with these contacts and investment vehicles will be removed automatically by deleting these records.)
  3. Now that all related records have been removed, delete the investor record.

Effects of Deleting Investors and Capital Commitments

Deleting an investor's commitment to a fund will not affect any existing records for other LPs (capital calls, capital accounts, distributions, etc.). However, deleting the investor's commitment to the fund will reduce the fund's total commitment amount. This will affect future allocations for the remaining commitments.
