How to Apply a Document Exclusion Rule
To restrict access to a document, first locate the document and click the Document Exclusion Rule button. You will then choose one of two options to hide the document.
Exclude by Contact: This option hides the document from a specific person. They will not be able to see it anywhere in the Investor Portal, regardless of which Investment Vehicles they are a part of.
Exclude by Investment Vehicle: This option hides the document from everyone associated with a specific Investment Vehicle.
⚠️ Important Consideration
Excluding by Investment Vehicle only hides the document within that specific vehicle's portal view. If a contact is also a member of another Investment Vehicle that has access to the document, they will still be able to see and download it through that other relationship. To ensure a specific person is completely blocked from a document across all their relationships, you must use the Exclude by Contact option.
