The first step in deleting the Capital Commitments is removing the records related to the Capital Commitment. As shown in the image below, use the delete option and remove every Capital Call, Distribution, Capital Account & Document related to the Capital Commitment.

2. Once the records related to the Capital Commitment are deleted, delete the Capital Commitment record itself.

3. Create Capital Commitment

4. Re-create the Capital Calls.

    a. Start with creating the oldest Capital Call. After creating this Capital Capital, mark the Capital Call as Paid prior to moving onto creating the next Capital Call.

After creating the Capital Call:

  • Navigate to the Fund record.
  • Click on the newly created Capital Call under the Capital Call related list.
  • Select the Capital Call and click Mark as Paid.

    B. Mark the Capital Call as 'Do Not Sync' if you do not want this Capital Call to be synced with Xero.

  • Select the same Capital Call.
  • Click Mass Update.
  • Click Next.
  • Select Do Not Sync field.
  • Click Next.
  • Click the checkbox.
  • Click Next.
  • Click Update.

5. Move the newly created Capital Calls to the original Capital Call parent.

  • Navigate to the Fund record.
  • Click into the Capital Call parent you have just created.
  • Click edit into the Capital Call record.
  • Change the Capital Call parent to the Capital Call parent record that holds all the other Capital Calls.
  • Then delete the newly created Capital Call parent (which should no longer nest any Capital Call).

6. Re-enter the Distributions.

7. Re-link Capital Accounts to new Capital Commitment.
