Please note that if you do not use Xero for accounting, this article is not applicable.

Preparing the Capital Call for Xero

  •  Next, ensure that the Xero GL codes of all Investment Vehicles for that Fund match the Chart of Accounts in Xero.
    • If applicable, make sure Unique ID from the corresponding Commitment record is up to date - {refer to the following FundPanel article}

Sending the Capital Call to Xero

  • The 'Sync Xero' button on Capital Call Parent is used to create invoices in Xero.
    • Clicking the 'Sync Xero' button again after the invoice has been created will check invoice has been paid and does not create additional invoices

  • The 'Sent to Xero' checkbox will check off once a capital call has been sent to Xero. This is a read-only field that may only be triggered by the 'Sent to Xero' button.

  • Do not Sync: This checkbox can be marked if a user either does not wish for the Capital Call to either:
  1.  Have an invoice created in Xero OR
  2.  Have payments be synced to Xero

Referencing the Resulting Invoice in Xero

  • When viewing invoice within Xero, a Capital Call's corresponding Salesforce information will be displayed in the 'Reference' column. The naming scheme used for these References consists of the following information:
    • Unique ID from Commitment Record
    • Fund Name
    • Capital Call Name (CALL-XXXXX) of the Xero invoice = Investment Vehicle name from FundPanel

  • The invoice name in Xero will look like the following:

            "Unique ID - Fund Name - CALL-XXXXXX | INV-XXXX"

  • Additionally, the 'To' field, or the Contact name displayed for the Xero invoice will be the name of the 'Investment Vehicle' in Salesforce.
