Pre-Paid Capital Call Xero Sync Issue

If Pre-Paid Capital Calls' 'Do Not Sync' field is unchecked when syncing to Xero on the Parent Capital Call record, FundPanel will throw an error message: 



FundPanel is throwing this specific error message because the 'Sync to Xero' button on the Parent Capital Call record is specifically designed to sync Capital Calls in Salesforce that needs to be paid for in the related Invoices in Xero. On the other hand, Pre-Paid Capital Calls don't have to be paid for in the appropriate Invoices in Xero thus causing this error message when attempting to Sync to Xero from the Parent Capital Call.


How to Locate a Pre-Paid Capital Call in Salesforce

You can locate a 'Pre-Paid' Capital Call when the value in the Capital Call's 'Amount Due' field is $0 and the 'Do Not Sync' field is unchecked. Additionally, the Capital Call's related Invoice in Xero does not have a Paid Date.



How to Resolve Pre-Paid Capital Call Xero Sync Issue

  • Navigate to the appropriate child Capital Call records with Amount Due field = $0 & Do Not Sync field unchecked.
  • Click Edit.
  • Check the 'Do Not Sync' checkbox.
  • Click Save.




  • Navigate to the Capital Call's related Invoice in Xero.
  • Delete this Invoice in Xero.



Re-attempt to 'Sync to Xero' on the Parent Capital Call record.
