How to Record Capital Call Payments in FundPanel

In this help article, we'll cover how to record capital call payments in Salesforce using the "Mark Selected As Paid" button, as well as alternative methods for updating payment information. Using the "Mark Selected As Paid" Button

To automatically record capital call payments, you can use the "Mark Selected As Paid" button. This will update three fields on the capital call record:

  1. Date Paid will be populated with the Due Date.
  2. Amount Paid will be populated with the Amount Due.
  3. The Paid checkbox will be checked off.

To use this button:

  1. Navigate to the list of capital calls.
  2. Check the checkbox next to the capital call(s) you want to mark as paid.
    • To mark all calls as paid, check the checkbox next to the 'Action' header column to select all Capital Calls.
  3. Click the "Mark Selected As Paid" button.

The selected capital call records will now have their payment information updated.

Updating Each Capital Call Record Manually

If you prefer not to use the "Mark Selected As Paid" button, you can manually update each capital call record:

  1. Open the capital call record you want to update.
  2. Edit the following fields:
    • Date Paid: Enter the payment date (usually the due date).
    • Amount Paid: Enter the amount paid (usually the amount due).
    • Paid: Check the box to indicate that the payment has been made.
  3. Save the changes.

Using the "Mass Edit" Button

Another alternative is to use the "Mass Edit" button to update multiple capital call records at once:

  1. Navigate to the list of capital calls.
  2. Check the checkbox next to the capital call(s) you want to update.
    • To update all calls, check the checkbox next to the 'Action' header column to select all Capital Calls.
  3. Click the "Mass Edit" button, located to the right of the "Mark Selected As Paid" button.
  4. In the mass edit form, update the following fields for all selected capital call records:
    • Date Paid: Enter the payment date (usually the due date).
    • Amount Paid: Enter the amount paid (usually the amount due).
    • Paid: Check the box to indicate that the payment has been made.
  5. Save the changes.

By following these methods, you can efficiently record capital call payments in Salesforce according to your preferences.
