Creating and Sending Wire Instruction Update/ Confirmation Emails

Enabling the Wire Details Tab


Before sending an email to LPs to confirm or update wire instructions, the Wire Details Tab must be enabled on the Admin page of the investor portal.


  • Login to the Investor Portal using Admin credentials. Click on Admin at the top right to enter the Admin view of the portal. 


  • Navigate to the Organization Settings tab and verify Wire Details Tab Visible is selected. 



Creating the Fund Communication 



Navigate to the appropriate Fund record:

  • Click Create Fund Communication.


  • Select Wire Instructions in the Type dropdown.
  • Review the Investment Vehicles that will be included in this Fund Communication. Please note: you can choose to exclude Investment Vehicle records from this Fund Communication by deselecting the checkbox next to the Investment Vehicle record.
  • Click Confirm & Save.


Please note: FundPanel will only include Investment Vehicles with Contact records that have an associated 'Cash Distribution' Contact Role. 


FundPanel will also populate any Investment Vehicle records with a $0 Capital Commitment to this particular Fund. You will have the option to include or deselect these Investment Vehicle records from the Fund Communication. 



Editing Fund Communication's Email Content


On the Fund Communication record:

  • Click Edit Email Content to open the Edit Email Content window. 


  • In the Edit Email Content window, replace the highlighted text with the following: 


Please use the link below to securely update or confirm your wire instruction details via the FundPanel Investor Portal.  After updating your wire instructions, or confirming the existing wire details are correct, press Submit to verify and save.       


   

  • Once you have updated the text, review the Email Body and click Save Changes.



Make Sure All Recipients are Portal Contact Enabled


On the Fund Communication record:

  • Navigate to the Recipients Related list. 
  • Click Show More until all Recipients have been displayed.
  • Make sure that all Recipients have the 'Portal Contact Enabled' checkbox checked. If a Recipient does not have this checkbox checked then it means that this Recipient has not yet been Portal Contact Enabled.


Please make sure that all Recipients in the Fund Communication have been Portal User enabled. The Recipients will be sent an email that provides a link to the FundPanel Investor Portal. If the Recipient is not 'Portal User Enabled' then they will not be able to access the provided link within the email from the Fund Communication. 


If there are Recipients that have not yet been Portal Contact Enabled then you will need to do the following: 

  1. Delete the Fund Communication. 
  2. Enable the Portal for the users who are not yet enabled.
  3. Re-create the Fund Communication.




Sending Fund Communication


On the Fund Communication record:

  • Click Send Emails by Investment Vehicle.


  • Click Confirm and Send.




Things to Note for Wire Instruction Submission


If it is the user's first time accessing the FundPanel Investor Portal then they will first need to accept the K-1 and Consent Form prior to receiving their Wire Instructions form. 


When submitting the Wire Instruction form, Recipients are required to fill out either the ABA Routing Number OR the Swift Code.


ABA Routing Number has to be exactly nine digits.
