This guide will provide instructions on how to create a new Company Layout to display the 'Company Summary' field on the Portfolio Contact and Investment Opportunity sections in the Lightning for Gmail/Outlook sidepanel.
New Compact Layout - Portfolio Contact
In Salesforce Setup:
- Type 'Contact' in the quick find.
- Click Compact Layouts link.
- Click New.
- Add the selected fields: Name, Company Summary, and Title.
- Name the layout 'Lightning for Gmail/Outlook'.
- Click Save.
- Click Compact Layout Assignment.
- Assign the Compact Layout to the Contact - Portfolio record type.
- Click Save.
New Compact Layout - Investment Opportunity
In Salesforce Setup:
- Type 'Opportunities' in the quick find.
- Click Compact Layouts link.
- Click New.
- Add the selected fields: Opportunity Name, Company Summary, and Close Date.
- Name the layout 'Lightning for Gmail/Outlook'.
- Click Save.
- Click Compact Layout Assignment.
- Assign the Compact Layout to the Investment Opportunities record type.
- Click Save.
